The rules for using JJY Orders.
Last updated: August 2026
These Terms & Conditions apply to the JJY Orders iPhone app, Android app, web app and related website.
JJY Orders allows approved trade customers to submit food orders to JJ Young & Sons. It is intended to make ordering easier, faster and clearer and is not a general public shopping service.
Each staff login must be registered and approved before ordering is allowed. Existing customers can request access using their JJY customer code. Customers who do not know a code can send a no-code request for the office to identify the correct customer account. JJ Young & Sons may approve, reject, lock, block or remove access where reasonably necessary.
Users must keep login details secure and use the service only for the approved restaurant/business. If a staff member leaves or should no longer have access, the business should contact JJ Young & Sons or the user should delete/log out of the account as appropriate.
Orders submitted through JJY Orders are requests. Customers are responsible for checking products, quantities, order text, delivery date and restaurant details before sending. An order is not guaranteed until accepted/processed by the office and remains subject to stock availability, normal business processing, pricing and delivery arrangements.
The service may display warnings for same-day orders. Orders for today submitted from 06:00 may be treated as late, and orders from 08:00 may be treated as very late. Very late or urgent orders should also be confirmed with the office by phone where the app advises this.
Where supported, the app/web app may keep an order in a local queue during a connection problem and send it when the connection returns. Customers should check the order status/history if unsure whether an order has reached the office.
We aim to keep JJY Orders available, but it may be unavailable because of internet issues, maintenance, cloud/Firebase service issues, device/browser problems or other technical faults.
Users must not submit false orders, attempt to access another customer's data, interfere with the system, abuse registrations, automate misuse, reverse-engineer security controls or use JJY Orders for anything other than genuine customer ordering.
JJY Orders does not process payments. Prices, account arrangements, payment/credit terms and delivery arrangements are handled separately by JJ Young & Sons.
Signed-in users can permanently delete their JJY Orders login from Account & Settings → Delete Account. Deleting a login removes the user's authentication login and personal registration/access data but does not delete the restaurant/customer business account. Historical orders and business records may be retained where necessary for business, accounting, audit or legal record-keeping. More information is on the Delete Account page.
Personal data is handled as described in the current Privacy Policy.
JJ Young & Sons may update, change, suspend or stop the service, or require an app update, where needed for security, reliability, misuse prevention or operational reasons.
JJY Orders supports the ordering process but does not remove the customer's responsibility to check orders. To the extent permitted by law, JJ Young & Sons is not responsible for losses caused solely by incorrect user entry, connection failures, device problems or temporary service interruption.
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, subject to any mandatory legal rights that apply.
