How JJY Orders collects, uses and protects information.
Last updated: August 2026
JJY Orders is the customer ordering service provided by JJ Young & Sons for approved trade customers. This policy applies to the iPhone app, Android app, web app and JJY Orders website.
JJ Young & Sons / Celbridge Meats Ltd. is responsible for the personal data used through JJY Orders. The service is provided for business customers and their authorised staff.
We use this information to register and approve customer logins and devices, receive and process orders, show shared restaurant order and docket history, send order status updates, manage access, provide support, keep the service secure and reliable, and contact the supplied phone number only when needed about orders and within preferred call times where reasonably possible.
We process information where necessary to provide the ordering service and handle orders requested by trade customers, for legitimate interests in operating, securing and supporting the service, and where records must be kept for legal, accounting, audit or business purposes. Optional choices such as permission to call are used only for the stated purpose and can be changed later.
JJY Orders does not process card details, bank details or payment information. Optional phone/call preferences can be left blank or changed later.
Registration, access and order information is stored using Firebase/Google cloud services and related hosting/authentication services. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures including authenticated access, approval controls and restricted restaurant access.
We do not sell customer data. Information may be processed by service providers used to operate the service, such as Google/Firebase, only as needed to provide and support JJY Orders or where required by law.
Registration/access information is kept while needed to operate an approved account and for as long afterwards as reasonably required for support, security, audit or legal purposes. Historical orders and business records may be retained for order processing, customer service, accounting, audit and applicable legal record-keeping requirements.
Subject to applicable law, you may ask for access to personal data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion where there is no continuing lawful reason to keep it, restriction or objection to certain processing, or a copy/transfer where portability applies. Optional choices can be changed or withdrawn for future use.
A signed-in user can permanently delete their JJY Orders login from Account & Settings → Delete Account in the Android app, iPhone app or web app. This removes the user's Firebase Authentication login and their own registration/access records. It does not delete the restaurant/customer business account. Historical orders and other business records may be retained where reasonably necessary for order processing, customer service, accounting, audit or legal record-keeping. See the Delete Account page for details.
If you have a concern about how personal data is handled, contact us first so we can try to resolve it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission. Information is available at dataprotection.ie.
JJY Orders is a business-to-business ordering service and is not intended for children.
